first person shooter – Photography by Hub Pacheco

    My story started with a 900-peso Kodak point & shoot camera. On my first roll of film, I shot day-in-the-life scenes around my high school and won an intra-school photo contest.

   After finishing AB Communication at Ateneo, I pursued my passion further and worked for Mark Nicdao as an assistant and with him had countless experience in ad campaigns, fashion, and PR shoots. Shortly after the World Bank chose my entry as the grand prize in their photography contest entitled “Making Growth Work for the Poor” in 2009. 

   My influences include Steve McCurry, Helmut Newton, David Hobby, and essentially all those who have or are redefining the perceptions of this world of ours through photographs.

   I am enlivened by shooting portraits and revel in other photographic challenges, using either film or digital. I also write comics on the side.
